The fertilizer products supplied by KBHSB are used in the Collaborative Research Project between Baja Harapan Group Sdn Bhd, University Malaysia Sabah (UMS), Yun Fung Sang Group Sdn Bhd, Kang Ke Palm Group Sdn Bhd, and Agri Business Consultancy Sdn Bhd.
This research project, known as the Eco-Farm UMS Project, has been ongoing since 2021 for a period of 5 years. The research focuses on the application of additional trace elements to soils to improve oil palm yield, soil health, and soil fauna diversity.
The objective of this study is to enhance soil nutrient management in oil palm agroecosystems by providing more comprehensive and site-specific information and extension services to oil palm planters. The study places emphasis on sustainability indicators such as soil trace element enrichment and cost-effectiveness.
